The idea for the video pieces was to simply find a new way to create storytelling. I spent a great deal of time projecting the films and watching/re-filming them in my studio. In the earlier work I used the film camera as a net, “capturing” images during walks. For the video pieces I kept the camera stationary, and had the subject come to it.

The beginnings and ends of the film are important to me. Each piece is actually a documentation of my re-filming it in real time in the studio.
